Quantum Physics & Manifestation

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic... Magic's just science that we don't understand yet." - Arthur C. Clarke

The Double Slit Experiment:

EXPECTATION: As seen above, particles are sent through two slits (the double slit). Particles, electrons, are localized objects that typically travel along a definite path. One would expect for the screen to mirror the double slits with two slits forming on the screen from the electrons hitting it. If this were the case, the electrons would have filed through the double slits and followed a direct path to the screen, maintaining their definite path straight through the slits to the screen.

ACTUAL RESULTS: In actuality, the experiment revealed that the particles did not follow a definite path but instead mimicked the path of waves. Waves are a series of crests and troughs that are how light or sound travel. So instead of traveling like a typical particle with a definite, localized path, the particles were behaving as if they were light or energy. The screen shows an interference patter. An interference pattern is the pattern that results when two or more waves interfere, or influence, each others waves by interacting. The small picture to the left shows the pattern of the waves that the particles took to achieve the interfered pattern results.
